Our Management Team

David Kessler, Ph. D., President
Dr. David Kessler is the president of SeismicCity. Prior to SeismicCity, Dr. Kessler was the manager of the Depth Processing Services group of CGG Americas in Houston. He started this assignment in mid 1996, taking the challenging task of creating the processing group, setting its methodology and leading the growth of the group. From 1994 and 1996 Dr. Kessler was a Senior Research Geophysicist at CogniSeis Development where he was involved in the development of depth imaging tools and helped CogniSeis move into the area of depth processing. Dr. Kessler started his industry career in 1991 as a Senior Research Scientist at Landmark/ITA. In this assignment he was the project manager for developing a commercial depth processing package called DepthWorks.

Dr. Kessler has a B.Sc., a M. Sc. and a Ph.D. degrees in Geophysics from Tel Aviv University. During his studies, he worked with Cray Research in Minnesota and Landmark Graphics in Houston on the development of numerical algorithms for super computers and geophysical graphics applications.

Jeff Codd, B.Sc., Vice President of Seismic Technology
Jeff Codd is Vice President of Seismic Technology. Prior to SeismicCIty, Mr. Codd was the assistant manager of the Depth Processing Services group of CGG in Houston. In this assignment, Mr. Codd was responsible for the execution of the group’s depth imaging projects, client liaison and the establishment of the group's reputation in quality and service.

Mr. Codd worked for CGG from 1981 to 1999. During his career with CGG he held several positions, Seismic Party Manager, Processing Geophysicist, Senior Special Project Geophysicist, Marine Group Processing Manager and Technical Supervisor for the Marine Processing Group of CGG Americas.

Mr. Codd has a B.Sc. degree in Science and has completed a graduate program in Geology, both are from the University of Northern Colorado. His background in Geology and 26 years of practical experience in seismic data processing give Mr. Codd the knowledge and experience needed to execute complex processing, interpretation and depth imaging projects. During the last decade Mr. Codd has successfully executed numerous depth imaging projects using seismic data recorded in various geological settings around the globe, helping his clients establish successful exploration programs.

Fatmir Hoxha, Ph.D., Vice President of Research and Development
Dr. Fatmir Hoxha is the Vice President of Research and Development. Dr. Hoxha started his career as a Research Scientist at Elf Aquitaine in France , and then became a Senior Research Scientist for CGG Americas, developing and implementing high end depth imaging algorithms.

Dr. Hoxha has a dual B.Sc. degrees in Physics applied to Engineering and Geophysics from University of Strasbourgh and a dual Master degrees in Geosciences and Engineering also from the University of Strasbourgh in France. Dr. Hoxha obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University of Pau in France.

Dr. Hoxha is responsible for the development of SeismicCity's prestack depth migration solutions. These include the most advanced algorithms such as TTI Reverse Time Migration.
